Summary of Essential Duties:

  • As a Clinical Nurse III you will perform a variety of direct patient care activities specific to the unit and needs of the Pediatric patient population
  • Perform patient assessments, triage patient concerns, provide clinical education to patients for pre-ops and other disease management education
  • Manage anticoagulation, coordinate patient care, and maintain overall management of the ambulatory cardiac clinic with over 20 providers daily
  • Obtain prior authorizations
  • Triage phone calls from patients, pharmacies and other providers
  • Identify the ability of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow instructions, as well as safety concerns in the age-related populations
  • Institute additional measures to provide a safe environment

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required BSN highly preferred License/Certification: Current, unrestricted California RN license required ACLS from the American Heart Association required Specialty certification required (or willing to obtain within one year of hire) Experience: A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required Demonstrated ability in a pediatric specialty area (procedure center, ambulatory clinic and/or cardiology) strongly preferred Excellent IV skills required Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
