Noise and hearing conservation in the workplace: What every Occupational Health Nurse needs to know
Bio: Patty Quinlan, MPH, CIH (1986-2018) is a retired industrial hygienist and clinical professor nursing at the University of California San Francisco. Patty taught Occupational Medicine residents, Occupational Health Nurses, and industrial hygienists at both UCSF and UCB including the course Health and Safety Hazards of the Workplace for nurses in the Occupational Health Nursing Program.
In addition to teaching she undertook various research studies with Occupational Medicine Physicians from UCSF. Patty served on numerous professional and government committees including her service as a member of the California Occupational Safety and Health Standard Board. Along with Barbara Plog, Patty is the editor of Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene, 4th, 5th, and 6th editions.
